Be sure your fist impression is a good one.
On the OUTSIDE be sure:
- lawn or side walks are well maintained for the season
- litter and garbage is cleaned up
- the house is in good repair (including windows and eaves troughs)
- your house number is easy to read
On the INSIDE be sure:
- everything is in good repair
- everything is recently cleaned, tidied and polished
- all of the rooms are fresh smelling
- squeaky doors are oiled
- all of your lights are turned on (with burned out bulbs replaced)
- your air condition is turned on in warm weather or your fireplace is lit during cold weather
- your pets are elsewhere, or safely contained during the showing
- and, remember to remove or secure valuable property that you normally leave out (ie: jewelry)
